Location-based AR and geo-fencing technology

What is geo-fencing and how does Augmento use it?
Geo-fencing creates a virtual boundary around a physical location using GPS coordinates. When a user enters this boundary, they can unlock exclusive AR content tied to that place. Augmento uses geo-fencing to create location-gated experiences — for example, fans at a concert venue can access exclusive AR content that's unavailable anywhere else. This drives physical attendance and creates scarcity that increases perceived value.
How accurate is the geo-fencing technology?
Augmento's geo-fencing uses a combination of GPS, Wi-Fi triangulation, and cell tower data for accuracy down to approximately 5-10 meters outdoors. For indoor venues, we can integrate with Bluetooth beacons for sub-meter precision. You can define geo-fences as circles (radius-based) or custom polygons to match specific venue layouts, stages, VIP areas, or entire neighborhoods.
Can I set up multiple geo-fenced zones within a single event?
Absolutely. You can create as many geo-fenced zones as needed within a single campaign. For example, a music festival could have different AR experiences at each stage, exclusive content in VIP areas, sponsor activations at specific booths, and a treasure hunt spanning the entire venue. Each zone can have its own unique content, unlock conditions, and time windows.
