Augmented Reality

What types of AR experiences can Augmento create?

Augmento supports a wide range of AR formats: marker-based AR (triggered by images, logos, or products), location-based AR (geo-fenced to specific venues or areas), surface-tracking AR (placing 3D objects on real-world surfaces), face filters and effects, immersive 360° AR environments, and interactive AR games and scavenger hunts. Each format can be combined and customized for your specific use case.

What 3D file formats does Augmento support?

Augmento supports all major 3D formats: GLTF/GLB (recommended for WebAR — lightweight, web-optimized), USDZ (Apple's AR format for iOS Quick Look), FBX and OBJ (for asset import and conversion), and standard image/video formats for textures and 2D overlays. Our pipeline automatically optimizes 3D models for mobile performance — compressing textures, reducing polygon counts, and generating LODs (Levels of Detail) for smooth 60fps rendering.

Can Augmento create 3D content for me, or do I need to provide assets?

Both options are available. If you have existing 3D assets, we'll optimize and integrate them into your AR experience. If you need content created from scratch, our in-house 3D artists and motion designers can build custom models, animations, and effects. We also offer a hybrid approach where we enhance your existing brand assets (logos, products, mascots) into AR-ready 3D content. Turnaround for custom 3D content is typically 1-3 weeks depending on complexity.
