What is geo-fencing and how does Augmento use it?
Geo-fencing creates a virtual boundary around a physical location using GPS coordinates. When a user enters this boundary, they can unlock exclusive AR content tied to that place. Augmento uses geo-fencing to create location-gated experiences — for example, fans at a concert venue can access exclusive AR content that's unavailable anywhere else. This drives physical attendance and creates scarcity that increases perceived value.
What is an AR collectible and how do digital drops work?
AR collectibles are unique digital items (3D objects, animations, or cards) that fans unlock by completing real-world actions — visiting a location, attending an event, or scanning a trigger. Digital drops are time-limited releases of these collectibles, creating urgency and exclusivity. Fans can view their collection in a personal gallery, share on social media, and in some campaigns, trade or sell them. Think of it as digital memorabilia that proves you were there.
